Swimming with Elvis and Rock Hudson in that great swimming pool in the sky now.

I can't say for sure, but based on what is publicly known about their lifestyles, I suspect both of them are residing in decidedly warmer climes right now...

Our movie past is going away. I remember my Grandmother loved her films.

Elvis was a devout Christian.

She was nothing but gorgeous with the most incredible legs . . . matched only by Cyd Charisse. And she was extremely classy besides. Big loss, but I hope she had a good life. Thanks for the memories.

I doubt if Elvis and Rock Hudson are up "there."

Elvis was a devout Christian.

I know he was raised that way, but what we know of his public life in later years would seem to indicate that he turned his back on it. I certainly hope he came to a place of repentance and restoration before his death, but only God knows that for sure.

Devout Christians aren’t drug addicts and fornicators.

But with a swimming pool in the sky you have no problem? OK.

Just recently added one of her lesser known titles to my collection, prior to which I had none: “Skirts Ahoy,” in which she joins the Navy with Vivian Blaine. Picked it up from the WB Archive Collection. Fun, but it’s easy to see why it’s not among her most remembered.

All devout Christians are sinners... except those who don’t need Christ’s sacrifice.

Yeah, that could be a problem.

“A lot of water has gone over that dame!” - Bob Hope

RIP. Wholesome entertainment of a time long gone.

Carol Burnett did a hilarious swimming sendup of Esther Williams around 1976. Had the bod for it, too.

All devout Christians are sinners...

Correction: All devout Christians are repentant sinners...

"For if we sin wilfully after having the knowledge of the truth, there is now left no sacrifice for sins, But a certain dreadful expectation of judgment, and the rage of a fire which shall consume the adversaries" Hebrews 10:26-27

Since Presley was found on the floor of his bathroom by the unmarried woman he was having sex with, Ginger Alden, and the toxicology report showed he had Ethinamate, Methaqualone, codeine, barbiturates, chlorpheniramine, meperidine, morphine and Valium in his system, it doesn't appear that he was embracing the repentance part of being devout. A devout glutton, yes. A devout Christian, apparently not from the evidence.

Presley may have talked the talk but he certainly didn't walk the walk.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to hijack the thread to Elvis Presley, who, by the way, died falling off a golden throne while reading a book about Jesus being a space alien (as reported by initial reports, and later suppressed.) Wouldn’t the circumstances of his passing be sufficient to secure a purchase of an all-season ticket to the swimming pools of Heaven?

“Presley may have talked the talk but he certainly didn’t walk the walk. “

And neither do YOU, judgemental one.
