Sadly, we live in an age where "truth" is no longer obvious, and in which certain truths are highly unpopular.

I know a few of these "families". Some of them are not really bad people, but they suffer from emotional problems, and their kids are uniformly messed up.

sad and true. I think they would say , “because we are not accepted..”, but Maybe “wrong” behavior (sin) grates on our subconscious...(?)

Homos are accepted now, more than ever, but their problems aren't going away.
