It’s generally illegal to buy and sell human organs for obvious reasons.

Why?

If I wasn't to sell and organ, it's my choice right?

I mean it is my body.

If I want to sell a kidney and I'm a medically worthy donor, why can't I sell it on a free market.

Oh, I'm a man, choice to do with my body only counts if I was female and want to murder my unborn child, got it.

This is the problem when government gets involved, they can only have authority when they pay for it! (Actually, we pay for it, but they control how it is spent)

It’s not about you selling your organs, it’s about preventing unscrupulous people selling the organs of others.

Unpleasant people already sell women and children, you think they won’t stoop to selling stolen organs and chopping up people like they do cars?

The money is too big and wealthy sick people are too desperate. That’s why they don’t open that can of worms.

Rich people already travel to Asian countries for organs of uncertain provenance. You want that in this country?
