When I was a kid I fancied myself a shark fisherman when dad would take us down to Naples. He bought me a cheap shark rig and I’d fish for them off the pier. Never caught bupkis. But I read the heck out of the fish books on what sharks are what. Only big shark I ever caught was a Sand, not counting the baby Black Tips I’d catch on the docking ramp in Catalina.

Those chicks could eat a _______, never mind.

We used to fish sand, lemon, blue and mako in Miami and Keys, back in the early-70s, our chinese friend would use 75% of them in soups etc, and we’d sell the teeth/jaws to tourists.

I still have a couple, in gold mounts, on a chain I used to wear. Rolled over one morning and I cut my chest in a few spots by forgetting to take the neck chain off, before going to sleep. Bloody mess. (I drank too many gin & tonics back then). I’ll try to find that chain and take some pics and post it on PB.
