What I meant (seems to have escaped you) was that COMMIES need a “Conscience” so why don’t you post on DU or other leftist crap websites and be their conscience? They’re the ones that need a conscience.

What you call "smarmy nitpicking," I call having some integrity, and sticking to the facts. Also, how does pointing out that the Capitol Police is not an Executive agency "undermine conservative principles," exactly? It may shift responsibility away from the Obama administration, but it shifts it to the Senate leadership (e.g., Democrats) and the House leadership (e.g., RINOs).
