“DuPont Circle is also known as the “fruit loop”.”

Back in about 1952, we lived in a second floor apartment across the street, clockwise, from the old Peoples Drugstore on DuPont Circle. Of course DC was a whole lot different back then.

It is very possible he was going around the circle in an effort to gain supports of his cause.

D.C. has gone through a boat load of changes over the years.

As far as cities go, I still think it’s the best city in the world. Expensive, but I don’t know of any other city that has the open spaces with so many monuments, memorials and access to history than D.C.
