In a free market, a labor shortage raises wages, but the lobbyists want to jimmy the system by creating an artificial overabundance of labor in order to enable corporations to pay lower wages to those who come from low-wage countries and are glad to work for low pay without American-style benefits.

We have/had had a huge immigration influx into Maryland and the Dems here in total charge have raised every tax they can think of in result.

Except that the 11 million figure is from 2002, so make that 12.6 TRILLION + NET COST!
