Senator Ted Cruz offered a solution to the IRSs scandal: get rid of the agency entirely and simplify the tax code so that tax returns fit on a piece of paper the size of a postcard.
We ought to abolish the IRS and instead move to a simple flat tax, Cruz said on Fox News over the weekend.
Put down how much you earn, put down a deduction for charitable contributions, for home mortgage, and how much you owe, he continued. It ought to be just a simple, one-page postcard....

cruz needs to back the fair tax, not a flat tax... what we have now started as a flat tax...

You can’t get there in one step and this scandal isn’t big enough for that much change. They still control the minds of a sizeable minority/majority via government schools and the media.
If just 5% of what’s discussed on FR regarding the purpose of government, basic economics, basic science and our Constitution were taught in government schools we’d not be where we are today. Obama, Clinton, Carter et. al. would have been laughed out of elections.
It’s going to be a long road back and we need to control the Congress for a generation or two worth of Cruz’s.
