I've never seen a tornado up close, but I've seen baseball size hail.

Really you don't want to see a bad hailstorm either. Trust me.

We had golf ball sized hail fall on our house. It was amazing. I don’t know how to post pictures, or I would show you some.

It totaled out my car, and bought us 2 new roofs.

I’ve been in two tornados since I moved to Kansas in 1990. I witnessed the Hesston tornado when the twister originated near Castleton. Being the stupid kid I was, I drove into the path and ended up taking shelter with an elderly couple while it crossed their property. Scared the crap out of me.

The last one was in 2008 in Manhattan. I was holed up in a meat lab classroom on the K-State campus when it hit. We were well protected but I did feel my ears pop when the storm hit Weber Hall. It was a relatively small twister but it still caused 6 million damage to The building alone.

I have no desire to see another tornado.
