I’m not expecting to be a one man society changer; and God has made clear that He is the important One anyhow. Now it may be that once more deeply invested in God, then God’s people will succeed in sharing a transformation out of evil with society. America was fortunate to have gospel roots. Australia did too, at one time. But the world’s inexorable response to the gospel is eventually, “we don’t want it. We are doing just fine on our own philosophies and you old fuddy duddies can go away.”
...and then the world wrecks itself, and if there is yet an opportunity, the gospel beauty shows itself once more. God has not yet tired of trying, but at some point the show will be called to a close.
