Yes, although this may just be on the surface of what we see. The Obammunist libtards cannot marshal the same kind of armies against dissent that the British left can. They have shock-troopers known as the UAF (United Association of Fascists). They do the dirty work. It’s similar in places like Sweden.

I believe that (grassroots — not official) American support for the EDL has had an impact.
The biggest turning point, however, was the public butchering of Lee Rigby.
However, the Brit media is cut from the same cloth as the US MSM, so, naturally, they DESPISE the EDL.
