If I recall correctly, this shooting was not reported in the national news for about a month after it happened. The liberals and black agitators decided to push this story, and eventually the national news picked it up.

They were pushing the racial angle, because they wanted this to be a case of white man shoots innocent black boy. They showed that picture of the 12 year old Trayvon constantly, rather than how he really looked when this confrontation took place. Upon learning that Zimmerman was really Hispanic, the liberals in the MSM started calling him a “white Hispanic” so they could keep the race angle alive.

You are correct that this is a media circus, and it will be so because the narrative is exactly what the media love - an accusation of unjust violence by a "white" man against a "black" man. This kind of story gives the media a hard-on. But when it is black-on-white violence, the media's attitude is ho-hum, nothing to see here, and if you dare make any generalizations about such crime, you will be shouted down and told to shut up, told that you are a racist, are unfair, blah blah blah. This story tells us more about the media than about anything else; the crime itself was an isolated, unusual incident, not at all of national import, and nothing from which we can draw any lessons that we didn't already know.

However, unlike you, I don't have any certainty about whether a crime was committed. I have heard all sorts of contradictory claims, and it is up to the jury - not me - to sort it all out.

I think Zimmerman made a horrible mistake that day and will have to live with it the rest of his life.

What was his mistake? He was merely trying to keep track of Martin's whereabouts. He was not expecting to get into a fight with Martin.

Which is why I think the pictures and texts of the gun and Martin's wanting a gun will at some point come into evidence. He had been wanting a gun for a long time and when he saw the gun on the guy that he was beating senseless, his eyes got real big because it was going to be Christmas in February.

Good post but the only contradictions I have read are those that were made up to distort the case.

As to certainty of what happened vs the out come, I have none because I don't believe in this "justice" system for the reasons you outlined in your post.

Deducing the evidence via recording and what was told to Zimmerman, i.e. to back off, which he did, clearly shows Martin was the aggressor.

If getting your head pounded in the pavement isn't self defense then I guess I should find another planet to go live on.

BTW, the picture the media deliberately with held showing Zimmerman clearly and decidedly beaten verify his account....I wonder why it was not made public?

Jury selection should just be 100% asian. Blacks will be 1000% biased, whites will be assumed to be biased even though they probably won’t be, and will be an excuse for rioting. I don’t see how asians could be used as an excuse for rioting (except everybody knows, asians hate blacks /s?)

I think k the jury will come back with manslaughter. There is no way they can give him 2nd degree murder and they shouldn’t just let him walk. He did kill someone. Manslaughter would be the perfect conclusion.

Zimmerman either acted in self defence, in which case he should be found innocent, or he didn't, in which case manslaughter would be an option

What's not an option is convicting him of a felony just to keep the race baiters happy

I will probably win this battle so you might as well give up. If Zimmerman does not one day in jail, I will admit that he was innocent, but you better damn well do the same if he ends up in jail.

If the jury convicts him of anything, unless new facts come out in the trial, they will simply be evil idiots.

That’s not even the full measure of the leftist agenda in operation. GZ was “interviewed” and not arrested. It was some time later that a supposedly random blogger started to make a big deal about it. That’s when the full fury of the left wing was concentrated onto him.
