Obama and the curse of the second term

These last few weeks have not been kind to President Obama. His new term is only four months old and already he is mired in several scandals that threaten his ability to govern effectively for the remainder of his time in office. On the surface, any one of these scandals could have major political ramifications for the president, or at the very least force him to fight a costly rearguard action with political capital he might otherwise hope to use implementing his policies.

The president should have expected something like this, however. More than congressional Republicans; Obama's biggest enemy is history. Since at least the Great Depression presidents in their second term have generally experienced internal political crises and scandals that have threatened to unravel their administrations and cast a dark cloud over their legacy.

RE :”bama and the curse of the second term,”

I keep reminding liberals here how Republicans were celebrating the end of liberalism in Jan 2005 just as they were more recently ( celebrating their final win of progressivism )exactly eight years later Jan 2012, then a few months later all hell broke lose and every year that GWB second term things got worse and worse for the GOP.

Well the same curse hit them this year and will continue through next year, we will see if it lasts through 2015.

“...threaten his ability to govern effectively...”

When has he/she EVER “governed”?

The more he’s seen as not responsible for everything Valerie Jarrett does, the more his idiot base is convinced he’s really trying to fix the very things he helps implement in bringing America down.

YEESH.

He actually cursed himself when he took his first Oath of Office. Then he compounded it by doing it again four years later.

No one forces God to witness to his lie like that without accruing Divine Retribution.

In fact, how many times did he repeat his oaths?

I don't think I'd like to be standing any where near him when justice is exacted.

Shortly after Obama's win over Romney, his real brain — Valerie Jarrett — said that it was now time to even old scores (that is, get revenge on his opponents). What we are seeing, bubbling to the surface, is exactly the kinds of dirty tricks these administration zealots have been doing.

From my small observatory in the Midwest, it appears that there are lots of people on both sides of the aisle who are now waking up to the monster that is the federal government and the thugs that populate it. The statements of various high officials to Congressional committees in the last two weeks demonstrate a “the law is what WE say it is” arrogance. Their collective arrogance is breathtaking.

One thing is the whole sordid mess of these scandals will keep peeling off like the various layers of an onion. We are talking a tyranny, the likes we have never seen before. Of course, the Stupid Party still thinks that it is business as usual, but there are signs of unease among the RINOs. The question is whether the unease is too little and too late.

Hussein's biggest enemy is history.

The second that sentence was uttered, your response was shouted by millions around the country. At first I thought it was a thunderstorm.
