Television legend Larry King has a new political talk show, and a new boss.
The Kremlin-funded English-language network RT, formerly known as Russia Today, announced today that it has agreed to air Mr. King's four-times-weekly online public affairs program "Larry King Now," starting in June. The station will also stage a "mold-breaking" new show, "Politics with Larry King," all to be shown on its US affiliate, RT-America.
According to the RT statement, King will mainly focus on US politics, and King will interview leading political personalities, ranging from officials to critics of American foreign and domestic policies.
"Whether a president or an activist or a rock star was sitting across from him, Larry King never shied away from asking the tough questions, which makes him a terrific fit for our network," RTs Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan is quoted as saying.

Well, the FReepers who see RT as news will have something new to chew on.
Wow, some countries might consider it an act of war to inflict Larry King on them. This will only bolster Putin blaming everything on the US.
And she fails to mention there is not a liberal or commie hind end... Larry hasn't kissed with deep love and affection--
I don’t put much credibility on RT since Thom Hartmann is on that channel.
OMG Bender are you kidding me
Larry King how old is Larry now COME ON
He should be enjoying his retirement taking in Dodger games COME ON LOL!
Be honest I like Russia Today I get internatioal news but my two favs are France 24 and Al Jazeera English which I see on KCET 28.4 here in SO CAL
Larry King (barely a)live.
No problem with liking RT, as long as you understand you are watching Russian state-owned media (and all that entails).
I don't watch much TV news anymore but if there's something going on in the Mid East (like the Libyan rebellion) I'll stream Al Jazeera English. Biased as they may be their production is slick. Much better produced than any of the American networks.
Actually year ago I saw Larry King at Dodger game he look bad LOL!
I became fan of Al Jazeera English news around the time of arab spring I was hooked yes I know they are bias
Be honest with international news coverage there is no comparison in my book
Thanks Pan_Yan.
RT is not as bad as CCTV....the Communist Chinese news network.
The worst national propaganda by far is CCTV....The only difference between CCTV and North Korean TV is that CCTV staff are fed
And RTs lefties actually go after Obama on a number of issues...unlike the US networks.
I watch some France24 on line, some BBC, some DW. You get some Intl news that you don’t get from US news channels. By far the most propagandist is CCTV
I watch France 24, RT, Al Jazeera, NHK, and some Chinese news shows occasionally.
I've found that all "news" is propaganda, including our own alphabet networks. Our news may not be state owned, but it might as well be. It is not quite nationalized; just fascist/corporatist Mussolini style.
RT is less biased than MSNBC by far. Of course that's not saying much for RT.
"The ratings are out, and MSNBC has hit a 7-year low with their coverage of the scandals swirling around the White House. Well, when the emperor has no clothes, it's hard to take his tailor seriously." --Fred Thompson
Ghida Fakhry is not guilty.
foul-mouthed goon, not missed
I can hear him now, “Ivan in Kayakistan! Go ahead!”
Alas, he will not be fielding calls from Vladivostok. This will be on a channel in this country. As far as I know I don’t have RT- America on my television and I certainly won’t be lobbying to get it.
