So we have over 50 replies mostly all agreeing that this Jackson was a wonderful choice and completely ignoring the things Crystal Wright wrote about.

This guy, EW Jackson, has virtually no chance to win in the State of Virginia at this time. None. He'd have been an afterthought if we had a real primary. He's a gadfly candidate that the public in Virginia is not likely to vote for in a general election. Not only is Jackson almost certainly not going to be the next Lt. Governor (because Aneesh Chopra will almost certainly crush him), this nomination made it even tougher for Cuccinelli - and Republicans up and down the ticket.

Jackson referred to gays and lesbians as “sick” and “perverted” people and compared homosexuality to pedophilia.

Jackson assailed Democrats for being “anti-God” and said Planned Parenthood “has been far, far more lethal to black lives than the KKK ever was.”

I agree with these things, but they are election losers. Jackson would be a good radio talk show host, but he's not a viable candidate in Virginia for Lt Governor. Yes, I know many in the grass roots think you can say stuff like this in today's Virginia and win a statewide election, but the grass roots in Delaware thought Christine O Donnell could be a serious candidate too. Too many people have no concept of political reality and are just voting to nominate the most conservative candidate - instead of backing the most conservative candidate that CAN win.

It's truly amazing just how politically tone deaf so many people on our side really are. The Democrats have been incredibly destructive to America, but the one thing they seem to know how to do is not throw winnable elections away on ridiculous candidates like O'Donnell, Angle, Akin, McMahon, Maes, and now EW Jackson.

How much money you willing to put on it? Put up or shut up.

He seems a great deal ‘smoother’ than the candidates you mention - at least what I saw of them.
It’s a long reach but if he’s as smooth in hostile situations as he was in the videos I looked at he’ll pull it off.
Being a good campaigner goes a long way and he seems to have the chops. We’ll know very soon.

I am worried about Cooch letting the media make him comment on Jackson’s remarks instead of ‘Caulife’s. Jackson’s gonna have to show a lot of the ‘love the sinner’ meme to protect both himself and the other R candidates.

I hope the difficulty of his candidacy influences the conservatives and establishment in the RPV to work together with respect for each other in the future.

(because Aneesh Chopra will almost certainly crush him),

You keep talking about Chopra as if he is the Dem candidate - he isn't, not yet anyway. He still has a primary to get through.

Personally, I would like to see Ralph Northam win the Dem primary because even my dog could beat him in a statewide primary - oh and I absolutely despise the cretin.
