The Kansas City Red Star -

Mia Parrish officially took over as publisher of the Kansas City Star in late June. Prior coming to Kansas City, she had been publisher of the company’s Idaho Statesman newspaper in Boise.

She previously held reporting and editing posts in newsrooms from Virginia to California including stops at the San Francisco Chronicle, Arizona Republic and the Chicago Sun-Times. Nick Haines got a chance to sit down with her this week on The Local Show.

Yes, the Kansas City Red Star. Living on the Kansas side of the Metro Kansas City area and having the Red Star as my only newspaper of record, we (here in Kansas) are regularly excoriated by the likes of Dave Helling. He regularly reams us for having the audacity of electing a large majority of our State House GOP and electing a GOP Governor.

However, nothing has upset Dave so much as our having performed a "Clean Sweep" of RINOs of office.

For years, Kansas has had a large majority of GOP but we were also saddled with a sizable number of RINOSs teaming up with dimocRATS defeating all but the most liberal, watered down bills from reaching former Governor Kathleen Sebelius' desk.

Dave Helling certainly had no problem with the RINO GOP but the conservative project to "Retire a RINO" seems to have gotten under Helling's skin. Good for us!!!
