The BBC gives too much weight to pro-immigration voices and almost totally ignores the negative social impact of multiculturalism, a new study has claimed.
The corporation suffers from left wing groupthink that prevents its journalists from challenging institutional bias and results in pro-immigration propaganda, according to the research published yesterday.
It was also accused of downplaying violence by Islamists while being happy to criticise Christianity and report on the activities of other violent extremists.
The report, by independent think-tank The New Culture Forum, looked at coverage by BBC news and current affairs programmes since 1997.

Hold on, why the unpleasantness?.
I am just pointing out some of the stories are true and some arent. Sheesh.
Run along, now.
Or the Oughts, when we heard a lot about "a religion of peace."
Western governments just aren't getting it.
LOL! I get the Time Machine references; but do not recognize and could not find the "swear" quote anywhere online.
‘Dear Mr. Self-Appointed UK expert:
Speaking as a writer and editor whose work has been checked by panels of experts for my entire 40 years in publishing’
Well, they do say Americans dont do irony.
Yes, I am a self-appointed UK expert, because I am actually British. Unlike almost everybody here. Including you.
Which reputable publications?.
Remember, any answer that includes The Sun, The Daily Mirror or The Daily Mail will be rejected.
Britain is none of your concern. Run along, foreigner.
Imitation: the sincerest form of flattery.
Your “keyboard courage” knows nothing about what is my concern. Clearly, you do not know me.
Nor do you own the UK; and you are not the clearinghouse for anything about the UK posted on FR. If you want to be useful on a news forum, provide meaningful citations with links. Otherwise, you’re just picking nits to get attention.
Or the laziest.
No, and you dont know me either. Or for that matter the British people and land.
Never claimed to. Not a clearinghouse, but as one of the few ACTUAL British people here, I will step forward to give my opinion or to correct falsehoods about what is after all MY country.
Prove it.
;>D
It is well known here that I am Scottish, I live in Ayr, Ayrshire. I was born in Kilmarnock in 1970, and have lived in Ayrshire almost all my life. Educated at Glasgow University and spent seven years as a ‘Territorial Army’ Para (Paratroop Reserve) based in Glasgow. Mum from Glasgow, Dad from a wee seaside town called Saltcoats.
All the above I have mentioned to interested Freepers during discussions on Scotland and Scottish ancestry here on FR.
I believe I may be the only regular Scottish freeper (actually MadMitch is Scots), but there are other British freepers such as Vanders9 and Winniesboy.
Online claims carry no weight whatsoever. I’ve proved my point that you cannot prove who you are simply by saying so; nor can you see through your keyboard into the lives of others who may have deep and lifelong involvements in the Isles, purely UK bloodlines, or simply an avid interest. Many freepers have family members there or have lived or worked in the UK, which, btw, comprises much more than Scotland. Surely there is room here on FR for other Brits and American Europhiles without having to endure chauvinist nitpicking by one who, this being the cybersphere, can only claim to have been born there. We might start to believe it online when you start to exhibit some — oh, dear, what do they call it? Breeding.
I’ll exhibit when you do, dearie.
Correct.
None of us knows (because sensibly we keep real personal details to a minimum) exactly who everyone else on here is. However, we all chat and post to each other with respect and take what people tell about themselves at face value.
How do you know I am Scottish?. You dont, but I have stated since day one here that I am and have given a lot of information of where I live, work, studied, and of Scotland and the UK generally, if I am not a Scot, then I am one hell of an actor. Ditto for Vanders9 and Winniesboy. If they arent English, we three are the best actors since Olivier, Gielgud and Burton.
How do I know you are American?. I dont, but based on your posts, I accept at face value you are. And not being of the US didnt cross my mind.
As to the lives of others, I love that people here have a love and respect for the UK, and I always try to help them with that. However, ultimately they are not British, just as I am not American, and I reserve the right as a Scot/Brit to pass an opinion on what is after all my country. And to correct any errors/myths/fallacies about the UK. Just as you and anyone here can do so if I pass comment/put forth inaccurate information on the USA.
Its isnt ‘chauvinist nitpicking’ to either stand up for your own country in an argument or correct a falsehood about your country.
Have I denied you an opinion on the UK?. Have I ever denied anyone an opinion on the UK?. No. Never. ALL I have ever done is tell people that a fact or facts they have written about the UK are wrong, if incorrect, and that I can assure them they are wrong because I live in the UK, am British, and know from personal experience that said fact is incorrect. Just as any American has the right to do to me if I post a ‘fact’ that isnt true.
Anyone familiar with me here knows that when I correct someone about the UK, I always give them as much of the correct information as possible.
Why the attitude towards me in the last 24hrs?.
You have been rude and very aggressive towards me in the last 24hrs, for what I dont know. As I wasnt rude or aggressive towards you or anyone in this thread. We have posted and replied to each other before, so I am a bit mystified as to why I seem to have ‘got your goat’.
In the week in which Lee Rigby was slaughtered, the London press gave airtime to a despicable hate imam who excused the slaughter of that young man by justifying jihad and denouncing the UK government.
Fortunately, in the same week, a study was published exposing the pro-muslim, anti-WesternCiv bias of the BBC, the major UK news outlet, for which Brits must pay an involuntary tax.
You made one of your typical snarks to say "some" of the examples of islam appeasement I gave in my comments -- of Londoners being ordered not to fly their Union Jack or St George flags at their homes or have Piglet wares in their workplaces -- were "nonsense." (And let me further add here that soldiers in London are not allowed to wear their uniforms off-base except on official business, for the same cultural-suicidal reason.)
You could have picked a more neutral word, like "unproven"; you could have diplomatically asked, "Can you link to that?" But nooooo: no matter how irrelevant to the main article, which affects whole nations and by extension, the world economy, your point was your superior knowledge, by virtue of your having been born in one of the Celtic regions, of any news bearing even tangentially on Scotland -- which, by the way, has about as much to do with the neighborhoods of London as Nova Scotia has to do with the neighborhoods of Washington, DC.
So all your backpedaling here has not impressed me that you have learned a thing.
You could rejoice that the truth was told about media bias on BBC.
You could have mourned the contribution of the BBC and UK media's pro-muslim bias to the death of a young father.
But no.
Here's what I've learned: you say you're Scottish.
"Have I denied you an opinion on the UK?. "
Why, yes, you have, in post 28.
when I correct someone about the UK, I always give them as much of the correct information as possible.
Scrolling back, I don't see a thing but your pompous admission that you do not "exchange information", or "add citations", you "correct someone." As we say in South Philadelphia, "Who died and made you God?"
‘You made one of your typical snarks to say “some” of the examples of islam appeasement I gave in my comments — of Londoners being ordered not to fly their Union Jack or St George flags at their homes or have Piglet wares in their workplaces — were “nonsense.” (And let me further add here that soldiers in London are not allowed to wear their uniforms off-base except on official business, for the same cultural-suicidal reason.)’
Firstly, thats a comment on piss-poor tabloid stories and tabloid journalism, not an attack on you. You have taken the comment FAR too personally.
Secondly, the uniform advice not order was ripped up within hrs by Cameron. In fact I posted a new thread about it straight away to inform Freepers.
‘Why, yes, you have, in post 28.’
Sarcastic retort to your post, nothing more.
‘As we say in South Philadelphia, “Who died and made you God?”’
As we say in South Ayrshire, ‘what bug crawled up your arse and died?.’.
