The GOP is perilously close to crossing the line where they will lose me forever as well.At that point it's not even a question about me voting third party...it's about finding and throwing all my support behind a real SECOND party...because the GOP and the dems will have become one and the same! I'll cross that bridge when I get to it!But for the meantime,I,like you, made my decision in November to vote against Obama by giving my vote to the only candidate on the ballot with a chance of beating him,and my conscience is clear.

And I must add that in no is my disappointment limited those that stayed home or voted third party....Plenty of blame to go around!

I blame 50% of my fellow Catholics that voted for Obama,in spite of his stand on marriage, birth control, and abortion. I blame the 70% of the Jewish voters that voted for him,in spite of all evidence that he is no friend to Israel. I blame Chris Christie for his bear-hugging photo shoot with Obama;and I blame Romney himself, who after a strong first debate, tried to run out the clock as Obama made the election about Obamaphones and free birth control for Sandra Fluke!

That’s right, mike, plenty of blame to go around. Christie turned into a poorer but larger Bloomberg. Romney got derailed by Crowley in the second debate and he went too easy in the third debate on foreign policy. Sandy provided much distraction at just the wrong time. The LIEberal press. The air-head liberal voters. The 45+% receiving taxpayer assistance in one form or another, probably 2/3 of who must vote kneejerk Dimocrat to keep their bennies coming.

We will never know now but I think Romney would have governed as one guided by conservative principles to a larger degree than he exhibited in the liberal state of Massachusetts.

Don't forget colonic powell or voter fraud perpetrated by the left.

The difference between us and the hard left is that they unite all the time in the name of taking down the country. We seldom do and we see the result.

Once again everything they do has a political bent which we often ignore.,result, barry chen playing the part of the Manchurian and val/jar running the show.

A third party would be great if this were the year 1900.However if you analyze what went wrong with our party its easy to see that a third party will suffer the same demise just about the time it gets big enough to be consequential.

IMHO,Its near impossible for any party not to compromise to get bigger. Once you start compromising and quitting when you don't get your way or the wrong person gets the nod, well its the beginning of the end.

The only hope is to throw the rinos out and take back the Republican party as a conservative party.

Probably won't happen quickly.

I agree and you are correct about lots of blame... but 2014 is the only election that we need to worry about right now. Either the gop steps up by going back to their true roots and giving up on the DC big government progressive version they have clung to or they will go the way of the Whig Party... and truthfully... if these times were not as dangerous as they are... now would be the time to take them down. We do not have that luxury but we do have the power to reduce the number of dim lites in the republican party in DC and we can start to do that in 2014.
