Well one guy was an admitted comunist but I guess he was moderate in a way. He and I shared a love of shooting and gun ownership and we both believed in concealed carry.
Another one I never knew but saw him regularly on Firing Line with William Buckley. I always thought Buckley took it easy on him as they were friends. His name was John Kenneth Galbraithe, the liberal Scottish economist. He once rode beside my sister all the way from England to Dulles. He took her baby and pretty much played with her the whole way. Evelyn said he was just as nice as could be.
