This morning's Kentucky Standard (our 3 day a week Bardstown paper) had a little more to say on the matter, but methinks info is being withheld until they get the guy.
The police chief was pretty blunt. There may not be an expensive trial in the works.
I can assure you, we wont give up on this person or persons until we have them either in our custody, or in the front sight of one of our weapons, and I personally hope the latter is the choice, the chief said.

police get to make threats when one of them goes down.
regular citizen does and the very same come and deem you a vigilante threat.
i just wish they looked and treated every regular citizen the way they treat ach other.

Methinks, youthink right. I remember 12 years or so back when the Sheriff of lee County MS was gunned down by suspect he went in after, there never was atrial. Just a hearing to ascertain if it was a good shooting by the deputies.

In BARDSTOWN????? Quite disturbing! And surprising, not like it is in the city somewhere, or even other areas of KY, but Bardstown??? So sad, one of the most beautiful towns I have ever seen, and I love visiting it when I go down in the summer. I just can’t believe it, so sad for his family.

My husband and I lived in Bardstown in the mid 1980s. Such a nice little town. It makes me sad to hear about this kind of violence there and the loss of this young man. May God be with his family, and may those responsible be quickly brought to justice.
