Some of these folks obviously aren't too bright, but I doubt they are using the DOT Hazmat signage.

Also another probable reason that they use the Bardstown route is the pretty strong local rumor that most of the Bardstown PD is on the take with these drug runners. I don't know if this is true of not, but I've heard it from multiple sources, most of whom live or work in Bardstown.

Apparently Officer Ellis was a straight shooter who'd made a number of enemies in the drug community over the years.
