Cell phones don’t belong in the classroom in the first place.

My youngest had a phone in HS. it was to be kept off during school exept for buzz mode and only picked up if myself or his mother called.
I trust my son. And he never failed me on this. But in an emergency, I trusted him over the school administrators any day to take action.

Neither do naked children.

Cripplecreek: Apparently you missed 9/11 and/or have no children. Take your head out of the sand. Parents need to get a hold of kids in a dire emergency like that or natural disaster. No reason the teachers can’t penalize for misuse.

I'd like to make an general observation in the past 5 years, and I guess because I am an old fogey. I have seen several routine social settings that are about 90% quieter than they used to be. All because of these so called smart phones.
The lack of human interaction is going to be our downfall.
