“If Angle repulsed republicans, how did she win the primary?”

First of al she was the anti GOPe candidate (which in and of itself was good). Lowden was definitely GOPe having been Nevada GOP Chair. Tarkanian was running on his dad’s name as basketball coach at UNLV. Like Akin, Angle didn’t start with the outrageous comments until after the primary. Kinda like the RATS want to make you think they are conservative to get your vote. So much to say, Nevada GOP voters didn’t know the “real” Sharron Angle until they nominated her.
Just look at how badly Reid’s son lost the governors race. If everyone “ so loved” Reid, it would seemingly have translated to his son as well. No, Reid won because of Angle. Either of the other two candidates would probably have beaten Reid in the general. The “conservatives” did it to themselves, which is sad because we needed a “Ted Cruz” conservative in that Senate seat.

I think Cruz is a modern-day Jefferson. He might not be the brightest guy on economical issues (I will admit that)....but if you got into a debate with of Washington’s political figures...he’d tear them up with no practice necessary.

She's NOT been silent.

Lying about a person's record as pissant did is not kosher either. When you bring us another more current version proving she is for the new bill, or more likely her statement against the bill, kindly ping me.

There is nothing else ot say.

Just b/c Angle is not as articulate as Cruz doesn’t mean that she would not have made a great Senator. Reid is an intellectual Pygmy compared to Angle, though. Bob

Akin is not bright, but he is stubborn—a deadly combination. I don’t know if Angle ever said anything as stupid as that which spews forth from the mouth of Reid. Bob

What has she said on the subject the last three months, as it has moved ahead in Congress? Maybe once, following the AZ guv, she said something in favor of securing the border.

But this is a massive, tens of millions, end of conservatism and incredibly taxing on our government and taxpayers AMNESTY.

I’m not misrepresenting anything. You, by so accusing me, are the one dissembling.

She was a weapon of self destruction. She got Reid re-elected now for 6 long years,

RE :”Heh...remember the alternative?”

I bet he wouldn't have voted for that gun ban, the internet tax and be working w Schumer behind closed doors on that amnesty bill like McCain is all.

And now calling out conservatives for making Obama mad.

Those who sided with Mccain in 2010 should be ashamed of themselves.

The AZ law isn’t the issue. The humungous, obscene comprehensive amnesty being pushed through Congress is the issue.

RE :”They sure do forget. “Senator McCain is a Tea Partier himself...” Battered wife syndrome...”

This thread was nothing more than a ridiculous contradictory argument, easy target.

Its logic is that Palin is 100% responsible for electing Cruz, but her 2010 campaigning for McCain in AZ primary was irrelevant as it had no effect, even though in it she called McCain a true conservative. So McCain helped Palin 2008 and now we are supposed to see Palin as McCain's natural enemy as if there was NO 2010.

This is the silly stuff of 2011

Wow, nice dodge. I prove you are wrong, and you STILL try to say this pile of bilge that she is FOR this bill.

What is wrong with your brain, are you incapable of being rational?

Hey, clown. Not a peep from her on it for weeks, while she’s tweeting about everything else. She said in ‘08 she was for amnesty, as long as the illegals weren’t put to the front of the line on actually getting US citizenship. Back in 2010, with the tea party ascendant, she, like McCain and most of the GOPe, spoke for a time about border enforcement first, then Americans were a generous people, blah, blah, blah.

I posted first that she had with Brewer offered some sort of warning for watching on enforcement, but meanwhile she has been silent while it’s moving ahead. Also, she had vigorously endorsed the reelection of two of the three GOPe Senators (McCain and Hatch) who voted it out of committee.

I’ve been a supporter of hers for years, but this is far too important an issue, I’ve been following carefully, and she’s keeping silent on it as it moves ahead.

Of course the media will do that. It doesn’t help when our side actually runs someone that fits the smear.

Truth be told, she helped him in 2008.

And then she helped him in 2010.

In 2008 I was glad to see her join to moderate the ticket, even though I knew he would ignore here starting the day after the election.

In 2010, there simply wasn’t an excuse big enough to justify her backing his play.

Well, if she wants our support, she needs to be seen as McCain’s natural enemy. She sure can’t expect to get traction being perceived as a fellow traveler with him.

Angle won the same way many flawed candidates on our side do, she won with a plurality and had no runoff. She got 40%.
