When the gubmint check keeps coming, who would want to be an economic conservative?
or more to the point, why would I indentify myself as an economic conservative, when the IRS could come knocking on my door for doing so?
Social liberalism and libertarianism, breeds economic liberals, and liberal voters, and more demand for more government from law enforcement to welfare, and as a mediator for the smallest of things.
