_________________________________________________ I do not know. I have been out of the church since the mid 90s, and out of America since early 2000s. I do recall the idea of joining with the African Anglicans, and I think many Episcopalians went with the Anglican churches in the US.
That would be the AMiA = Anglican Mission in America. It seems to have lost momentum. There is a whole alaphabet soup of tiny Anglican "continuing churches". The 1 which seems to be in ascendancy in the U.S. right now is the ACNA = Anglican Church in North America.
ECUSA/TEC is dying. It can only be saved by the Holy Spirit - and He does not appear to be listening despite the heretical exhortations of TEC's Presiding Bishop, Katharine Jefferts Schori. Episcopalins were told that by being inclusive of homosexuals would cause the church to grow - the exact opposite happened. There was a large exodus out of ECUSA in 2004 after the consecration of homosexual NH bishop Gene Robinson. That event has essentially finished. The older members in the church who disagreed with the inclusion of homosexuals are stubborn and just won't go anywhere else. The youth members who were raised in the church are like mnany youth members all across the U.S. - once they graduate they tend to drift away, and now they are staying away for good.
My mother was Anglican -- real, Church-England-and-King-Harry Anglican. She put off going to church all the years she was raising us kids to be good Catholics in my father's family's traditions, and resumed going to an Episcopal church zestfully when we were all old enough to dress ourselves and get ourselves together on Sunday mornings. It meant a lot to her.
In a way, I'm glad she didn't live to see all this. It would break her heart, to see her natal church dragged through the mud by triumphant sodomites and catamites.
