Why on earth would they need an autopsy? How could they even do one, considering the way the poor man was butchered.

What a horrible, unbelievable way to die. Poor, poor man, and his family.

That was my first thought, but I'm sure it a legal process that has to be conducted to provide official medical information when any trials take place. I was surprised to read this morning that the two murderers were shot by police. Unfortunately they're both still alive.

To ascertain the nature of all wounds, not just to determine cause of death.

There are reports he was struck by a car, shot, and cut up. Verifying these reports could be critical at trial in convicting both perps.
