Under the direction of Lois Lerner, the Federal Election Commission sued the Christian Coalition in the 1990s. She harassed the Christian Coalition for three election cycles. She lost her case. Lerner even asked one conservative during the case if Pat Robertson prayed over him. (Sound familiar?)
These actions landed her at the IRS where she used the same tactics against conservatives and Christians only on a much larger scale. 500 conservative and Christian groups were illegally targeted by the Obama IRS during her tenure. For twenty-seven months the Obama IRS refused to approve any Tea Party applications for tax-exempt status. At the same time the Obama IRS approved dozens of progressive applications.

Yep. .good piece.
LOL
Thanks for the ping! Trying to catch up a little bit now. Going to watch the hearings tonight after I get in bed. Things are crazy around here..son’s wedding next weekend...millions of things to do, so please keep me posted. I may not be able to answer much in coming week..but I will be able to read stuff when I get moments from the crazy stuff...lol.
Lovely! A wedding. Something to celebrate.
It was a helluva day for America.
Rush is right. There is no chance of this turning out well for the GOP. All laws are political these days, and the politics say that little Lerner will get a nice fat promotion for slamming Christians, again.
Sounds like you (and Rush) are giving up?
Why are you even logged in?
Sure sounds like it from glancing over the live thread. Can’t wait to crawl in bed and watch it tonight. Looking for an excuse to ‘go to bed’ early now....lol.
It is called political reality.
Do you spend political capital on this, knowing that you have next to no chance of hurting Obama and excellent chances of turning the polls against you, or do you step back and let it wind down? Rush is saying, and I fear he is right, that the latter is the best choice in the long run. Obama’s numbers have shown no effect from this, and neither has there been any mid term poll hit. The majority of the US public don’t care, and are annoyed about the reaction to the scandals.
It isn’t about fear. It is about not attacking a lion with a tooth pick. There is a reason this was released now. The other side chose the timing and method of release. This whole thing is a media driven event, and they have been in control of the narrative. Even the arrest of Rosen on treason charges was a calculated move. When you see what looks like an ambush up ahead, do you charge in or out flank?
Stop and think. They could have sat on this, but chose to release it now. Why? What is their game? Why do this? What is the real target?
Watch the cockroaches scatter.
Good animation - I tried to squash the bug . . .
The IRS is a different animal. No race card to play, no gender card. It’s the IRS.
“This whole thing is a media driven event, and they have been in control of the narrative”
Guess who’s in control of the narrative on the conservative side? -My point exactly.
Rush knows he’s creating and/or perpetuating the narrative when he tells his audience to go easy on Obama and the IRS.
Does anyone know what year lener took her position at the IRS?
Congratulations!
If Congress holds the purse strings can’t they just “fire” her if she doesn’t reveal what she did as an employee of the government?
The perfect patsy...
Fooled me, I was trying to squash for a few seconds.
Before the 24/7 news cycle and proliferation of conservative news websites, Rush used to be cutting edge. He would break stories and provide alternative commentary.
I don’t tune in often any longer, but when I do, he’s discussing two to three day old news and his commentary is no longer unique.
For people who do not follow news throughout the day, he might still be relevant, but to those who do, he’s really not anymore.
Thanks so much Maggie!!
