Does the IRS target tax cheats in red states?

We know about the IRS and the Tea Party. But is there politics in IRS prosecutions? Do IRS agents zero in on red states more than blue? Residents in Montgomery, in the red heart of a red state in the Middle District of Alabama, are 3½ times as likely to have tax cases referred to federal prosecutors than the average Joe in Anytown, USA, according to AL.com analysis of 2012 federal records gathered and maintained by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse in Syracuse, NY. In Mobile´s Southern District of Alabama, odds of an IRS referral are 2¾ what you´ll find

If true, then a far greater majority of healthcare treatments will be denied for red-staters, and/or conservatives in other areas. Nope, can’t afford the generic blood pressure meds, clonadine, etc., sorry, you can’t have those glaucoma eye drops, too expensive ... arthritis? HAHAHAHA!

The IRS does not target tax cheats.

The IRS targets people with money, denies legal deductions, and processes its judgements in a kangaroo court sans jury of one’s peers.

Yep. They’re not going to try to squeeze blood out of a turnip.

They go after WORKING PEOPLE — the people that pay their salaries.

This article is a case where only being able to post an excerpt is crippling.

If you read down it’s pretty clear there’s no prosecution targeting, as the rates are higher in DC and Massachusetts than in Utah or Kansas.
