This is really simple.
Very bad things happened when the embassy was attacked.
Last I checked, we still have embassies.
Doesn’t it make sense to thoroughly investigate exactly what happened...so it doesnsn’t happen again.

It wasn’t an embassy. Our embassy to Libya is in Tripoli. It wasn’t a “diplomatic mission” either even though it has been called that repeatedly. Records show that have not had, nor have, a diplomatic mission in Libya. It was a “secret” CIA safe house.
