Has the Justice Dept. opened a criminal investigation into this matter? If not, on what basis is she involking the 5th amendment? The only investigation I have heard spoken of is the IG investigation.
I think in fact the FBI is looking into the IRS. Also, testifying under oath in front of Congress can be self incriminating. That is why you don’t talk to Congress without immunity. Classic Oliver North strategy...
When asked if an “investigation” had commenced, he said he could not comment on that...the Senator said, ok that means there is...the IG just smiled.
An “investigation” would mean interviews under oath, subpoenas, etc.
