I agree that is too early for that. However, if someone high in government really authorized this (i.e. someone in the White House), you can bet it was done verbally for plausible deniability. Same would be the case for any cover up. So, it would have to be a big fish to catch another big fish. Maybe the case can be developed without giving immunity, but it may come down to that.
You can bet the rent it was authorized by those at the highest levels of this corrupt government. Leftist operate with complete control...They're control freaks by nature and it's extremely likely they don't even trust each other, based on recent events alone.
Even if done verbally, it could also mean they know they got their teet in the ringer as they attempt to hide/isolate or insulate themselves evidence/leaks or additional whistle blowers as they attempt to deceive their way through this.
If they think they got more potential whistle blowers coming, you're going to keep your mouth shut or risk stepping in it big time.
