Ms. Powers seems to be on an interesting personal journey right now.

The reality of “late term abortion” caused her to question her generational brainwashing and go after Kermit Gosnell.

The reality of the gangsterism of the Left - and it’s real history of violence and intimidation when they get the power - is now causing her to question her ingrained assumptions about the “virtue” of the Left and their supposed devotion to Human Rights, open government and freedom of expression.

If she thinks about it just a bit more, I think the epiphany will be quite dramatic.

Kim Guifoyle at Fox was similar. Married to the Mayor of San Francisco, she had always been viewed as a center-Left Lib. But her stint as a prosecutor in the L.A. DA’s office, followed by her humiliation at the hands of her morally depraved ex-husband (our current Lieutenant Governor, BTW) finally made her see the light.

The old joke is that a Conservative is a Liberal who’s been mugged. In both of these cases, these women have been metaphorically mugged - and the change is apparent.

Too bad it takes such bad things happening for people to come to their senses.

I know, I Follow Kirsten Powers on Twitter and she was on the Gosnell trail like you wouldn't believe.

I think it has to do with her re-finding faith and that is always a big help in becoming pro life.

She is more Pro Life than many Republicans.

She is the last (or maybe first) in Democrats who actually see what is right and wrong and not what is in Party Doctrine.

Principles above Party.

It's inspirational really.

“A conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged’’. And a liberal is a person too broad-minded to take their own side in an argument.

It's interesting that Arianna Huffington took the opposite path. She started out as a moderate Republican who was married to a Senate candidate (he lost to Dianne Feinstein).

He humiliated her when he came out as gay, and she left him to write books. She appeared on a bed tour with Al Franken, and has moved steadily leftward ever since

Good observations. Her column on Gosnell is a must read.

I think the roots of her discontent, and her "awakening" go back even further.

She briefly dated Anthony Weiner, and they remained friends, but when the Weiner mess first broke, she was among the first Democrats to publicly call for him to resign. She said he was a pig.

Her bio says that she married Dr. Marty Makary in 2010. Her husband's family is supposedly Coptic Egyptian. During the Libyan war, once on the panel on Special Report, she publicly thanked Hillary Clinton for helping a member of her husbands family. Sounds like she called in a big favor to get someone into this country. When she was first married, she wore a BIG rock on her ring finger...notice the next time she's on the air..it's gone...
