I have no doubts that a lot of African American folks have had to work harder for the same over the years..
But Bronco Bama wasn’t one of them.
I don’t doubt that black people had to work harder in the past to be recognized or advance in careers, etc.
But, discrimination in employment and areas of public life has been illegal for almost 50 years now. Policies such as affirmative action have been ingrained in the public and private sectors for decades now. I question how correct it is, for someone in the year 2013 so say that “blacks have to work twice as hard”. That may have been true decades ago but not in recent years.
