President Barack Obama will star at an “intimate” $32,400 per head June 6 fundraising dinner and discussion in the Portola Valley home of star Silicon Valley venture capitalist Vinod Khosla and his wife, Neeru, according to the invite obtained by the Chronicle.
The dinner is one of two events in Peninsula private homes on Obama’s upcoming fundraising swing here, which benefits the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
In addition to the Khosla home dinner, Obama will also attend an earlier reception in the home of Marci and Mike McCue of Palo Alto. McCue co-founded Flipboard, and serves as its CEO.
Senator Michael Bennet, chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and Majority Leader Harry Reid are hosts of fundraisers. New York Senator Charles Schumer and Bennet will both attend the events, according to the invitation.
Bay Area Democratic donors are being reminded in the invite that, with issues ranging from immigration to climate change and gun violence prevention on the agenda, the stakes for the party to maintain its hold on the Senate majority “couldn’t be higher.”
Tickets for the McCue reception are $2,500 per person. ...
The Khosla home events — at $64,800 per couple — include a photo with the president as well as a “discussion” with him, the invite says.

We have PBS and NPR, make them set aside a determined block of time for election advertising. They like this socialism idea so much, give it to them! They all get an equal and fair amount of time on any publicly funded or subsidized television, radio or internet.

Where do the Funds from Non-Candidate Obama’s Fundraising go?
Should the recipient of said Funds pay for Air Force One expenses, and other fundraising trip expenses charged to taxpayers?
Should all salaries to Obama’s Staff and Obama himself be eliminated on the days that Obama is not in his Oval Office due in whole or in part due to Fund Raising activities by Obama or any member of his staff?
