We don't know who gave the two separate "stand down" orders that prevented precision bombing of targets that were illuminated at great personal risk by a United States soldier on the scene... who was later killed for his trouble.
We don't know why the survivors were prevented from telling their stories to Congress.
We don't know why the people attacking the Embassy took so long to take it... They had the manpower - there was NO PROTEST - a protest was an early lie - they were just armed insurgents... We don't know why the FBI was denied permission to do an on site investigation... until long after any evidence would have been destroyed. CNN was there before the FBI.
Good list Steely Tom...
Maybe because it was a CIA post and they didn’t want the FBI to know what they were up to !
The “missing” survivors if CIA don’t want to blow their cover and their careers by coming forward
Still doesn’t mean what we were doing there was legal. Think IranContra
