Me and my buddy as Ole Miss students out there in summer of 1976...in that area south of Uncompahgre peak..me on left...big snow hit us late August up high...we sheltered in entrance to old mine shaft

I lived for a couple of years in Montrose. Hiked Dallas Divide and skiied Telluride many times. And a few years ago, drove over Imogene Pass from Ouray to Telluride. I’ve spent a lot of time around Uncompahgre.
