It's amazing, really...
My sis, the social worker, a gentle soul, indeed. But a liberal, thru and thru.
She is convinced that she knows best how to run everybody else's life. Most especially those of rich people -- whose wealth is gained unfairly -- and conservatives, who are naturally inclined to be uncaring brutes.
All this save for her clients, of course, for whom she is filled with compassion and care. She doesn't expect them to change their slovenly ways -- because she needs them to need her to care for them in some way.
She can't bear independence in others...and strives to make us all dependent on her and her sort. Liberalism IS a mental disease.
