SHUT UP! President Bush was a REAL friend of the military.
Oh? And what exactly did Dubya do to reverse Bill Clinton’s Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy? Other than nothing?
It figures that “shut up” is the best that you can do- otherwise you would have to try being honest about what Bush didn’t do. And while you’re so eloquently defending him, remind me what he did to reverse the encroachment of women in the military. What’s that you say? “Shut up”? I think you tried that once before.
The last true friend of the military POTUS and America First POTUS left office in January 1989. He rebuilt what had been a very neglected military. He helped put some pride back in wearing the uniform. Under his tenure our military grew to a readiness strength unseen since WW2 while enjoying peace because we had the worlds respect once again. Since then it's been hollow gestures and Global Politics comes first.
I did not think after Carter our military would under go such a tearing down again. This did not happen overnight and no not even the GOP takeover of both houses stopped it. It began in 1990 thereabouts and has not slowed down. Later Clinton inflicted damage even with {the blessings of} a GOP two house majority. The Bush Family Socially is as Liberal as the Clinton and Kennedy Family. GW Bush had a chance to rebuilt our military as did the two house majority and blew it. His DEMLITE agenda took front burner.
That said this current assault by the civilian side of the Pentagon by this administration and congress against the honor and traditions of the Armed Forces of The United States is the lowest of lows. The attack on morale and the needed moral standards for maintaining the armed forces allowing it to function has been Upped to a no holds barred attack.
WTH ARE OUR GOP LEADERS? Congress regulates the military. Scared of the fact that their misconduct {Fagotry} or fisical scandals will be outed? Are we living ubnder a blackmailed government? This latest outrage is just not a slap in the face and dishonoring the blood spilled in our nations history to keep this nation free, this is two parties shaking their fist at GOD and saying He is irrelevant and even wrong.
