It was not the middle of the night, or bedtime. It is simply not believable the Commander in Chief went to bed. This was a major crisis and all hands were on deck. Washington was awake and people from all agencies were at work and involved.
It is also not believable there was "no time" to deploy help from several places in Europe or the Med. Forces were available. In the midst of a crisis, one has no idea how long it might last or how it will end. This one could have gone on for a couple of days, with the Annex under siege. So, if that was the possible case, then when and under what conditions Washington plan to make a rescue attempt?
It appears the Benghazi outpost was deliberately left to die - all of them, not just the four who died.
Why?
This is either criminal incometence or something far worse. It is little wonder they want to sweep it under the rug and "move on".!

If you have read what Admiral James Lyon is saying you have a clear and logically answer to your WHY!!!
