My question is how much did the genetic screening and subsequent prophylactic mastectomy set the Jolie-Pitts back? Moreover, are these procedures covered by Obamacare? If they aren’t, I suppose it means the this kind of “courage” is reserved for the multimillionaire film star class. Real courage is being afflicted with cancer, undergoing brutal chemo, losing all of your hair and still getting up in the morning to make the kids breakfast and going out to work, do the shopping, etc. Thousands of women are doing this in the US, but because they don’t look like supermodels, the media couldn’t care less.

About 15 minutes ago, heard a local news story on this ... interviewed a doctor at a well-known cancer center. The BRAC test cost $3-5,000. Insurance (prior to Obamacare - my note) will often cover the cost if there is a family history or if certain cancers show up at an early age.

With the latest IRS criminal activity and who they are targeting, I’m sure that people of the liberal ilk will get their tests paid for ... if you have guns (as determined by your doc) or any evidence of conservative leanings of any sort, I can see “denied” or “disallowed” being the decision under Obamacare. Just sayin’ ....
