These shrugs worked the first couple of years. I’d say that he’s reached maximum shrug capability now. The 2014 elections now look pretty dismal if you look at the ad potential here. If I were a democrat out in the heartland and hoping to put up a successful election....things just got a lot tougher, and it’s probably not worth the effort of running for anything much in 2014. Skip the election and hope that all is forgotten by 2016.
