It’s ok, because even though the WH is having a lover’s quarrel with the media, the media would never hold the WH accountable. It’s amazing how often the media will ignore the inconsistencies in the lies from the WH.

Consider a worse possibility; Both are true statements.
The 'White House' was advised (i.e. lower level people in the WH) several weeks ago and no one told the President.
These clowns are so incompetent, that I could envision that scenario as being true.
If this is not a lie(if the Obama was genuinely not informed about what was going on his own White-house) this would be a sign of an entirely new level of extreme incompetents upon the part of the Obama Administration.
Will it phase an Obama supporter? Somehow I doubt it your advrage Obama supporter is either doesn’t care about anything at all or chooses to live so deep under a rock the world could catch on fire and they wouldn’t know it.
