Republican Sen. Dean Heller (Nev.) is preparing legislation to prevent the Internal Revenue Service from hiring new agents to implement ObamaCare in light of the agency's targeting of conservative groups.
The scandal has prompted fears that the IRS is incapable of neutrally enforcing major provisions of the healthcare reform law, including its individual mandate to buy insurance.
"It is necessary that both Congress and the Department of Health and Human Services [HHS] look closely at the money given to the IRS through the healthcare law," Heller wrote to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Tuesday.

Good on Sen. Heller. Using the IRS as the enforcement agency for ObamaCare was a horrible idea from the get-go. The scandal just underlines what a dangerous idea it really is.
A nightmare definitely is headed our way unless the GOP does something.
Just the thought that this would force Democrats to go to bat and try to defend the IRS in the current environment makes me smile.
temporary suspension?
Obamacare needs a stake through the heart.
Baby steps. Then we smash them like the cockroaches they are!
Come on Boehner, just defund Commie Obama”care” and let the chips fall in Traitor John Roberts lap!
Pass the bill then don’t fund it some backdoor way or through procedural negotiations.
Yes, cut the money!
We have the House...use it!
Shut down the IRS!!!!
“Shut down the IRS!!!!”
Cut them in half. They have been 100% DISCREDITED, and are criminally negligent!!

Lamar Alexander: Sebelius fundraising arguably an even bigger issue than Iran-Contra
Any such legislation will be denied in the Senate or vetoed by Obama.
Just don't fund the IRS agents.
I don't get it.
Good idea! Heller sounds like a rare pol. Anyone care to tell me about him?
There is no way in this world that I would ever submit to IRS mandated health care. No way, no how.
I pointed out that they must either stop ObamaCare or clean house at the IRS. I told them that I expected hundreds of IRS employees need to be fired, from secretaries, to field agents, to managers, Department heads to the IRS Commissioner. A spectacle of enough size and magnitude needs to be created so that NOONE at the IRS will ever engage in this kind of behavior.
I am encouraged that others are at least asking for people at the top to step down. I on the other hand, want people at all levels of the organization to be “fired/purged.” I want a culture change to occur and culture to be established that you never operate in a political manner no matter what.
