By now you’ve heard that the Internal Revenue Service has been engaged in Nixonian-style investigations of conservative groups.
Words like “Tea Party” or “patriots” trigged special scrutiny by government revenuers. That was back in 2011 — about the same time I started hosting this daily commentary. And based on my subject matter, it’s safe to say that President Obama and I are not exactly b.f.f.’s.
Not too long after we launched the commentaries, I got word that I was being audited — all the way back to 2004. I hired an attorney and CPA and began the arduous task of battling the IRS. My CPA said he’s never seen the government agency so uncooperative. After months of hammering out a deal – they notified me last month that they re-tallied the numbers and discovered I owed twice as much as they originally said.
My CPA said something just didn’t feel right. The IRS, he said, seemed overly aggressive. It was almost like they had an axe to grind — a vendetta.
Friends, dealing with the IRS over the past few years has been nothing short of government-sanctioned bullying — a license to shakedown.
And the latest revelations should strike fear into the heart and bank account of every American taxpayer. Because if the government can come after someone like me — you could be next.

The irs IS the modern day KGB. It has detailed information on all people. It has the power (but not the right) to destroy, and to put out of business.

Repeal the income tax( 16th amendment) and replace that “sorely” needed revenue for fake global warming studies by replacing the income tax with a tax on China imports

I had to deal with the IRS over an item with my taxes. I under paid in 2010 and they are just now contacting me. Efficient? We were discussing me breaking the amount I had to pay extra (on top of the check I already wrote back then) into two payments (of course interest and penalties apply). I knew it was fruitless to haggle, but it struck a nerve with me when the chick said that the money was the IRS’s and they had been in a sense loaning it to me so I had to pay interest. I very nicely said, “really like when I let you keep a year’s worth of withholding and I don’t get to charge you interest?”
I think it may have confused or upset her. I am waiting for the axe to fall now. I should have just kept quiet and herded myself along the path with the other sheep.
And, how many of Obama’s are WAYYYYYYYY behind in their Federal taxes?
