Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has been offered a major syndicated TV talk show by reality show producer Mark Burnett but turned down the deal, Newsmax has learned.
One of countrys sought after speakers on the political circuit, Burnett believed he could turn Palin into the next Oprah, offering to produce a daytime TV talk show hosted by the conservative icon herself.
But so far, Palin has said no -- though the deal is not completely dead, say insiders.
The sticking points have been over location and money, people familiar with the deal say. Burnett has insisted that Palin do the show from either New York or Los Angeles, which would require her to move for a significant portion of the year from her residence in Alaska where she lives with husband Todd.
Palin has a distaste for cultural elites in the Big Apple and LA, one person familiar with the discussions said.
Another top Hollywood studio executive tells Newsmax that Palin was ultimately willing to move to either city, but she passed over money.
I dont think she closed the door, he added....

Ping!
But I thought that she was irrelevant and a has been....atleast that's what all the "smart" people have been saying.
I think it’s been confirmed that the so-called “smart” people are talking out their fudge pipes.
All of a sudden she is getting people that want her to run for Senate and now a TV program. I think there are those that are afraid she is going to run for President in 2016 and they would like to side track her.
If Palin were to do anything in media, I’d love to see her start a Conservative Network. The time is absolutely ripe, and she could become the home for any number of great conservative voices, analysts, and even educators like the Hillsdale Collage lectures. I think the business plan would be a slam-dunk for financing, hell if Algore can get investors in his crappy liberal network, think what could be done with 2-3X the audience. If (and I really mean when) someone does this, they could start to do serious damage to Fox News, by pulling away hosts like Huckabee, Judge Jeanine, and others who are stuck in goofball timeslots. Roger Ailes ain’t the only smart guy out there...and Palin would be the perfect one to start it up, because she’s so damned good herself. Probably the thing that’s helped make FNC so successful is no one has ever had to look at Ailes or Murdocks ugly mugs on camera ;-)
Asked to comment about the offer, Palin told Newsmax via email: "Todd and I have always loved working with Mark Burnett, and our family is always up for adventure, so never say never."She loves tweaking the media.
I would give her money for a good conservative network.
How can that be? “Everybody” knows that she’s washed-up, stupid, thinks Russia is within sight of her porch, a grafter, a quitter, blah, blah, blah...
A Talk Show?
Really?
And Mark Burnett's to boot?
That is like running a race and the winner gets a tetanus shot.
I agree.
I sincerely hope she runs in 2016.
Absent that, a conservative network would be something (long) overdue.
But I hope she runs though, actually.
Love you Sarah!
Are we allowed to have a Conservative Network under the boy king?
I concur with your idea. Dallas Jenkins, son of the writer of the Left Behind series, and the 42nd most influential member of the entertainment according to Entertainment Weekly, is a member of Harvest Bible Chapel in the Chicago. He is the producer/director of the church’s motion picture production company. He is no doubt a busy man, but I believe a man such as him, and such people as Governor Palin, Joni Earickson Tada, and secular conservatives could create a very marketable product.
Glen’s not hosting celebrities.
NYC and LA is where you have concentrations of entertainers, writers, etc..
Then how did Oprah do her show from Chicago?
Agree.
Good comeback. Of course, Chicago’s the next largest city and this article credits Phil Donahue with putting it on the talk show map:

Now you're talking. I've already abandoned network TV but I'd make an exception if it was worth watching.
