11 states had the enormous cajones to tell the Feds to f off. Not even a snow pea twit like you can take that away from them.

So proclaiming undying hatred of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the American flag is apparently viewed by some around here as the acme of patriotism.
Odd, that.
I’ll cut some slack for the author of the poem. He had been defeated and was understandably and forgivably defiant and resentful.
But I will never understand those who choose to resurrect such sentiments from a long-buried past.
Actually I think it's more of a matter of 11 states having the poor sense to rebel and lacked the cojones to win.
