No, he won’t. The only bad thing we know about Sanford is that he fell for another woman, cheated on his wife and lied about where he was. That is bad enough but it doesn’t even begin to compare to some of the crud piles we already have in power. Sanford looks like a saint compared to the current president and all too many others. He fits in like a naughty three year old locked up with career criminals. I would trust my life to Mark Sanford before I would trust Barack Obama or even John McCain with fifteen cents.

My feelings, exactly. I really liked Mark Sanford at one time (relatives in SC) and thought he might make a fine POTUS someday. That was before he demonstrated that he couldn't control his zipper.

I'm glad he won only because it will give the far more treacherous DemocRATS one less talking point. But had I been in the district and the RAT candidate even somewhat conservative, I would have voted for the RAT or Libertarian.

I will also admit that it is a perverse sort of fun to see the RATS squawking about someone's extra-marital affairs.
