Spot on. People who think the “Affordable Care Act” is going away, will get repealed or cut back, are living in a fantasy world.

It isn’t going to happen.

From day one and even before, the government has been hiring people, making org charts, opening offices, buying computers, software and office furnishings and so on.

In other words, when they got the word, they began putting it in place as fast as they could, because they knew once the tentacles were in place, it couldn’t be removed.

Shame on every single one of those politicians who supported and voted for it.

Shame.

Shame.

You forget one important thing... it will never work and it cannot be implemented as written. baccus is retiring over it and he helped to write much of it. It will be changed into a benign form because it cannot work... it is repressive and anti-American... it is un-workable... broken by design etc etc etc.

The last chance was the continuing resolution. When that was punted then it became obvious that the Republicans, includint the Tea Party guys ahd determined that obamacare was worth more to them down the road as bag of goodies for their political dissemination than any political good they might receive by defunding it. Our friends are not "conservatives" in washington and our enemies are not limited to the self proclaimed liberals and statists. Our enemies are the political class altogether. New arrivals in DC are assured that they will be economically very comfortable if they make it through one term without actually opposing the interests of the pơlitical class. They can afford to lose a re-election even as statistically the chance of that is very small.
