It's just luck that I'm not exceeding that. I tend to ignore stupid laws that can't be effectively enforced. It's an American tradition.

Some wimpy little building inspector is going to come to my door and order me — demand! — that I pull up everything in my garden?

Then he’s going to knock on all my neighbors’ doors and demand the same from all of them?

Little peckerhead better be drawing “hazardous duty” pay because he won’t make it past two houses before he’s head-first into the compost pile. If he’s lucky he might still be alive to pull himself back out again!

BREAKING: European Commission to criminalize nearly all seeds and plants not registered with government
Monday, May 06, 2013
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger
Editor of NaturalNews.com
As you might suspect, this move is the "final solution" of Monsanto, DuPont and other seed-domination corporations who have long admitted their goal is the complete domination of all seeds and crops grown on the planet. By criminalizing the private growing of vegetables -- thereby turning gardeners into criminals -- EU bureaucrats can finally hand over full control of the food supply to powerful corporations like Monsanto.

Most heirloom seeds to be criminalized Nearly all varieties of heirloom vegetable seeds will be criminalized under this proposed EU law. This means the act of saving seeds from one generation to the next -- a cornerstone of sustainable living -- will become a criminal act.

In addition, as Gabel explains, this law "...effectively kills off development of home-garden seeds in the EU."

Dec. 5, 1932 one of Stalin’s goons ordered “the mere possession of food is evidence of a crime.” Also I think about this time he made it illegal to harvest vegetables from your own garden without permission from a bureaucrat. Can someone help with this last statement? I think it could get you sent to a Siberian Gulag.

“I'm growing tobacco in the garden. It's not regulated at all.”

Had an old uncle who grew his own in Missouri. Took the the same crop and cured it several ways. Rolled his own most of the time. Smoked a pipe when he could sit. Chewed when in church or other formal event. Lived to be 96.

Robert Heinlein through the character of Lazarus Long offered this sage and timely advice.

Be wary of strong drink. It cam make you shoot at tax collectors... and miss!

I should have made the distinction between commercial and private use. Thanks.

Where ever the UK goes America and the rest of West are certain to follow.

*Needs fixing*

Are you talking about the same government that can't get a handle on Afghanistan? A nation about the size of Texas?

Oh they can, they just don't want to. It causes us to borrow money, which the lenders like just fine. We'll bail them out, while they get to call shots at Treasury auctions. What's not to like?

Or marijuana would be extinct in the US.

With printed dollars as the reserve currency of the dope business, why would they want the dope pipeline to dry up? Hell, don't you understand that Afghanistan and Kosovo/Albania are the two ends of the heroin pipeline into Europe? Do you want that to be euros or dollars? The whole point of the EMU was for Germany to print a global reserve alternative to the dollar. It's a license to print and lend money without consequence.

I currently steal all my cherries from public lands. In fact I might even steal a few apples and any other fruit or vegetable I find in my adventures. :)

In Missouri, you can buy all the raw milk you want as long as you visit the farm, and buy directly from an individual.

However, you can not then turn around and distribute that milk to the public, by putting it into your grocery store or restaurant etc.

Looking to start an heirloom seed exchange on FR? Currently, I am growing a few 30rd magazine bushes... looking to exchange hollow point rounds seeds.

Do you have a smart meter? They’ll just turn off your power and wait. In August when it’s 100 degrees, you’ll be pulling up your garden yourself. They won’t have to come within miles of your house.

The ROE’s here will be totally different from those currently in use in Afghanistan.

Bet on it.

Good point. After a couple of those people will be pulling up their contraband tomato plants by the millions.

Well, the job that you used to have
They gave it to somebody down in El Salvador
The unions are big business, friend
And they’re goin’ out like a dinosaur
They used to grow food in Kansas
Now they want to grow it on the moon and eat it raw
I can see the day coming when even your home garden
Is gonna be against the law

said Bob Dylan in 1983
