John McCain is the RINO asking for a select committee, probably to eliminate the momentum and do a favor for some Democrat constituent who wants to bring in more illegals to pick lettuce or something.

Congressman Wolf, famously level-headed, highly respected, and one of the longer-serving members of the House, dismisses the notion that serious momentum would be lost by a select committee. In fact, he recently argued that the momentum of what has already been achieved cannot sustain under the current structure of multi-committee Benghazi investigations.
[W]e have the opportunity to bring all of the committees of jurisdiction together, building on what regular order has already accomplished, but cannot sustain or bring to fruition. The committees with primary jurisdiction have a multitude of issues before them ranging from gun control to immigration reform, from the ongoing crisis in Syria to the devastating terrorist attack in Boston.
